The Miethaner family is one of the oldest documented families in Lower Bavaria . It was first mentioned around 1130 in the traditions of the Oberalteich monastery with Rachwin de Mirtanne. The coat of arms is quartered , in the 1st and 4th fields a diagonally right stream, in the 2nd and 3rd field on Dreiberg a four-layer fir tree, on the puffed tournament helmet between two wings a growing, right-turning lion, in its paws the fir tree of the coat of arms image.
