Mietoinen [ ˈmiɛtɔi̯nɛn ] ( Swedish. Mietois ) is a place and a former municipality in south-western Finland. Mietoinen is located on the Baltic Sea bay Mietoistenlahti in the Varsinais-Suomi landscape 30 km northwest of Turku . The sights of Mietoinen include the stone church from 1643 and a bird sanctuary on the Mietoistenlahti bay.

The municipality Mietoinen existed until the end of 2006. On January 1, 2007 it was united with the neighboring municipality Mynämäki . The new municipality was named Mynämäki and bears the Mietoinen coat of arms. The municipality of Mietoinen had an area of ​​126.52 km² and recently around 1,700 inhabitants. It had two settlement centers : the church village Mietoinen and Pyhe. The community also includes the villages of Aarlahti, Antikkala, Haijainen, Harainen, Heikkilä, Hiippavuori, Hiivala, Hämäläinen, Kaivattula, Katavainen, Kaukurla, Kaulakko, Kauvainen, Kivivuori, Koivisto, Kuunkala, Leinola, Maunakunen, Kurina Nummi, Orkovakkinen, Palokylä, Pursila, Pyhäranta, Rantavakkinen, Rauvola, Runoinen, Ruonkallio, Soukko, Tavastila, Telkinmäki, Tervoinen, Tiirola, Uhlu, Valaskallio and Vähäkylä.
