The Milchversorgung Rheinland eG (MVR) was created in 1965 through the merger of more than thirty dairy cooperatives in the Rhineland , including Milchversorgung Köln GmbH (founded in 1924). The main production site was the Milchhof in Köln-Bilderstöckchen , Geldernstrasse 46. In 1971, the Milchhof Düsseldorf merged with MVR. In 1995 the MVR had around 6,000 members of the cooperative and around 650 employees; Up to 1.5 million liters of milk were processed every day.

In 1998, MVR merged with Tuffi Campina Milchwerke GmbH & Co. KG . Today the Cologne dairy farm is operated by FrieslandCampina Germany .
