Military Merit

The military merit mark is a state award of the Republic of Austria .

It was donated on November 13, 1989 as a special honor for the armed forces. The badge is a plug-in cross made of gold-plated silver, which is worn on the left breast (breast star ). In the middle, the coat of arms of the Republic of Austria is depicted on a gold medallion. The cross has no inscription. Between the two arms are bald gold crossed swords. On the back is the word "Merit" on a white background.

The design of the military merit mark is based on the Austro-Hungarian Military Merit Cross .
