Milot (Haiti)

Milot is a place in the northern department of Haiti . It is located around 12 kilometers south of the port city of Cap-Haïtien . 25,149 inhabitants (2003) live in the place.

The ruins of the Palais Sans Souci , a former residence of the Haitian King Henri Christophe, are located in the historic national park in the south of the village . The citadel La Ferrière , built between 1805 and 1820, is located on the Bonnet L'Evegue peak, around 10 km from the Milot.
