Mime crime

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Mime Crime are a comedy and slapstick trio from Berlin consisting of Uli Gleichmann , Alexander Simon and Joseph Sternweiler.

Mime Crime was founded in 1992 by graduates of the Berlin School for Performing Arts Die Etage . Back then in the line-up of Désirée Angersbach, Alexander Simon, Uli Gleichmann , Ron Agenant, Joseph Sternweiler and later Boris Jaeger, the mimes managed to draw attention to themselves with a mixture of slapstick, pantomime and comic-like body language. Winning the most highly endowed cabaret prize at the time, the St. Ingbert pan in 1994, marked the first high point in the troupe's career.

1997 Boris Jaeger and Ron Agenant left the group. With the Sports program , the trio was able to seamlessly build on the success of the old pieces and was honored with the Stadtsparkasse artist prize at the 1999 Tollwood Festival in Munich.

The program charts (2000), Olympia (2004) and Goal! (2005) cemented their reputation as a comedy troupe.
