Ministry of Railways of the Soviet Union

The Ministry of Railways of the Soviet Union ( Russian Министерство путей сообщения , Ministerstwo Putej Soobschenija, MPS) was a Ministry of Transport of the Soviet Union with the seat in Moscow . It emerged in 1946 from the People's Commissariat Putej Soobschenija. The Ministry was responsible for the administration of the Soviet railways ; it was dissolved in 1991.
