The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (English Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology ) is part of the Union Government of the Republic of India . It was established on July 19, 2016 from the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology.
history
Formerly known as The Department of Information Technology , it was renamed The Department of Electronics and Information Technology in 2012 . On July 19, 2016, it was converted into a full-fledged Ministry, henceforth known as the Ministry of Electronics and Technology, which was branched off from the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology.
