In addition to the Dynax 500si Super, the Minolta Dynax 500si was the AF ( autofocus ) entry-level camera from the Dynax series from Minolta in the mid-1990s. With its different motif and exposure programs and flip-up flash, the 500si / 500si Super spanned the arc from the much simpler Dynax 300si (1995) to the semi-professional Dynax 700si (1993), whose range of functions could be expanded with memory cards and a vertical handle.

The Dynax 500si (1994) and the successor model Dynax 505si (1998) were the only camera models in the Dynax series that were supplemented by a super version, and the 500si Super (1995) with the multiple exposure function and a metal bayonet.
