Mital-U ( spelling : mital-U ) is a Swiss independent label with a focus on post-punk , new wave and dark wave . The music label was founded in 1996 by Bruno Waser ( mittageisen ) and focuses on the production and sale of electronically influenced music. In addition to working as a label, Mital-U also acts as a music publisher (Luna-MB-Musik).
history
The actual beginning of music production goes back to 1980, when Bruno Waser produced Switzerland's first punk LP (Crazy). This was followed by the production of further records for the Lucerne punks Crazy as well as for their own band mittageisen.
Years later, in 1991, the production of a Crazy Compilation CD followed, followed in 1994 by the album alles ist anders ... nothing has changed from lunch. Two years later, after recognizing the potential of the internet as an independent sales channel and initiating mittageisen v2 , the record label Mital-U was founded.
