Childhood and youth
Mirić was born on January 16, 1957 in Bogutovo Selo near the city of Ugljevik in the northeastern part of the SR Bosnia and Herzegovina , Yugoslavia as the son of Bosnian Serbs . He spent his school days in Ugljevik until he moved to Serbia in 1975 to devote himself to his music career, where he still lives today.
Career
He started his career in 1975 with the album " Od mene je ljubav jaca " on the record label "Diskoton". Here he worked with Ismet Alajbegovic's orchestra.
His breakthrough came five years later, when his album " Voli me danas vise nego jucer " was released in 1980 under the leadership of the orchestra of Branimir Djokic. On this album you can find numerous songs, which are still among his most popular songs today, such as " Umrecu bez tebe, nevero moja " or " Ne ostavljaj suze na mom pragu ". In the following years, too, he was able to record various successes by working with Branimir Djokic. Later he worked with the orchestras of Novica Nikolic and Dragan Aleksandric, among others. During this phase, other successful albums followed, such as " Dajte mi da zivim " in 1988 or " Nemoze nam niko nista " in 1989 .
Other notable songs in the 1980s were " Zivela ljubav " (1984), " Ne diraj coveka za stolom " (1986) and " Zasto me drugoj zeni dade " (1981).
In the 1990s, the composer Novica Urosevic played a major role in Mitar Miric's success. With Urosevic, for example, Miric released the albums " Bog je poslao zenu " (1993) or 1997 " Nisam ja osvetnik ".
In 1998 he switched to the media company "ZaM" (later became " Grand Production "), where he recorded the successful album " Haljine svilene " in collaboration with Bane Vasic .
In the 2000s he released five more albums for "Grand Production" in collaboration with various composers. Among the most famous songs of this decade are " Gledam Drinu " (2000), Nekad sam i ja voleo (2002), Cigance (2004) and Secerlema (2009).
His latest album was released in 2016 under the title " Pametnica ".
In addition to his work on new music albums, Mitar Miric tours mainly through the states of the former Yugoslavia (with a focus on Serbia, Croatia and Bosnia) in the summer months. In the winter months he is often out and about in the German-speaking area with the local community of former Yugoslavia and often gives concerts in these countries.
