Mitflugzentrale

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Similar to the way carpooling offers are offered, at a carpooling center there are fly-sharing opportunities for a fee. After a peak around 2000, the supply had sunk to almost zero by 2005. In 2015, after uniform legalization of cost flights by the European Aviation Safety Agency , a new number of shared flight control centers began, with new providers in Germany, Portugal and France.

functionality

Private pilots have to prove a certain number of flying hours in order to be able to keep their license. However, since chartering an aircraft is expensive, they often offer take-along opportunities to reduce costs. It's not about economic gain - most of them don't have a commercial license anyway.

costs

The costs for the flight are divided equally between all persons involved (passengers and pilot). There are charter costs for the machine, aviation fuel as well as airport and landing fees . As a guideline, you can set around 150–200 euros per flight hour. For helicopters, however, the price is much higher (approx. From EUR 300 / h)

Current events

After the standardization of European aviation standards, the so-called cost flight was finalized in 2014. This enabled young entrepreneurs to develop new shared flight centers.
