Mittelberg (municipality of Nenzing)
Mittelberg is a fraction of the municipality of Nenzing in Vorarlberg.
The fraction is located southeast of Frastanz and consists of the parcels Halden, Heimat, Mariex, Motten, Rößnis and Rungeletsch. Frastanz and Nenzing used to form a community and were only separated in the 14th century.
More recently Mittelberg has developed into an industrial and commercial location, but Mariex, for example, was not unknown in the past either, because the Tabacco di Mariexo grown there was exported to Italy. Mittelberg has 898 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2020).
