Midnight Statistics

Midnight statistics or midnight counting is a term from hospital statistics in Germany . This is to the detection of the patient to date (date inventory) to midnight means documentation (book inventory).

The calculation: takes place as the initial stock (00:00) + recordings of the day - discharges of the day = final stock at 24:00, i.e. midnight.

The midnight statistics are the basis for determining the occupancy days . Since 2002, in addition to the total number of patients from the midnight statistics, the number of patients treated in this way has also been counted as occupancy days for hourly cases.
