Confidante
A confidante is a person who is one of at least two people who is aware of the same secret facts.
Acknowledgment of serious crimes is only punishable in Germany under the conditions of Section 138 StGB as failure to report planned criminal offenses and there is punishable by imprisonment of up to five years or a fine.
Similarly, Section 286 of the Austrian Criminal Code provides for an obligation to intervene in the case of crimes that have not yet been committed but are imminent, with a penalty of up to two years.
