The Mkhaya Game Reserve ( Mkhaya is the local name of the tree species Senegalia nigrescens ) has been one of six national parks in Swaziland since 1985 . It is operated in a public-private partnership through Big Game Parks , which goes back to Ted Reilly . It was originally set up to protect the Nguni cattle.
The most important and largest animal species in the reserve include the black rhinoceros , warthog , nyala , suni and duiker .
