Mobile Subscriber ISDN Number

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Mobile Subscriber Integrated Services Digital Network Number or Mobile Station Integrated Services Digital Network Number ( MSISDN ) is the worldwide unique number that the caller dials in order to reach a mobile phone subscriber .

An MSISDN is assigned to a SIM card ; Certain network operators also issue several SIM cards for the same number (of which only one can be used at a time). It can also happen that an end device is addressed via several MSISDNs if more than one active SIM card is used in a multi-SIM device .

The MSISDN is specified by the 3GPP in TS 23.003.
