Model test

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A model test is a locally or temporally limited measure to test a new technology or procedure with regard to its practical suitability . It can pursue scientific and technical purposes, but also be officially or politically ordered in the administration. Its task is to determine whether a newly implemented procedure has proven itself to improve the currently used methods or the status quo . If the latter applies, an extension of the scope is possible, in the negative case it is reset to the original status.

A model test is often carried out on a reduced scale for the object to be examined in order to make general statements.

It is used not only in technology , but also in the process optimization of various administrative procedures as well as in production processes or in the administration of justice .
