Modern REGIONAL
ModerneREGIONAL is a non-commercial online magazine on "Cultural Landscapes of Post-War Modernism ".
history
Since May 2014, ModerneREGIONAL has been made available on a purely voluntary basis by a small team of editors - Daniel Bartetzko and Karin Berkemann - with numerous free text authors. C. Julius Reinsberg was co-editor from 2015 to autumn 2018. Martin Bredenbeck and Tobias M. Wolf were co-founders . ModerneREGIONAL received the German Prize for Monument Protection in 2018 (Category: Internet Prize). In the same year the modern REGIONAL touring exhibition märklinMODERNE started in the German Architecture Museum in Frankfurt am Main.
Content
The online magazine is dedicated to the architecture of the 20th century: from architecture to town planning and horticulture to design, photography and building art. The focus is on "small" formats, regions and building types from the post-war decades that have so far been neglected. Daily news about events, exhibitions, books and research projects provide information. Every three months an in-depth thematic booklet is published with leading articles, specialist articles and an interview.
