The Mughal ax is a battle ax from India.
description
The Mughal ax has a single-edged blade. The blade is smooth and usually has a stylized antelope head at its front end . The blade is almost half-round and only sharp on the outside. The blade holder on the shaft is often equipped with a tiger figure. The shaft is made of metal. In some versions in the hollow shaft a hidden dagger is housed a length of about 36 cm and its has booklet forming the knob of the ax. This type of ax was used in the era of the Mughal Empire (1526 to 1858) in India.
