Tony Rei , bourgeois Anton Heinrich Reisner , (born October 23, 1957 in Schwarzenbach , Lower Austria ) is an Austrian magician and illusionist .

Life

Rei has been doing magic since he was 15; he was a student of Fritz Lisetti and Bobby Lugano , among others . At the age of 17 he was a co-founder of the magic club IBM-Ring Austria , a local representative of the International Brotherhood of Magicians . His first major stage appearance was in 1976 in the Vienna Hofburg. In 1977 he founded the “Magicians' Ball” in Vienna and in 2002 exported it to Monaco. From 1979 to 1983 he organized the "Magic and Illusions" stage at the Vienna City Festival. In May 1986 he awarded Siegfried and Roy the "Golden Merit of Magic" at the Magicians' Ball . His career was interrupted for several years in November 1987 by a car accident. In 1991 Tony Rei was elected Vice President of the International Brotherhood of Magicians. As an actor and presenter, Rei appeared at the Winnetou Festival in Staatz, at the Volksoper Vienna , at the Theater in der Josefstadt , at the Bregenz Festival and in numerous television programs.

Tony Rei is chairman of the Wiener Naturwacht and is committed to animal and nature conservation as well as clean energy.
