from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Fritz Lisetti , actually Friedrich Hahnel (born April 19, 1889 in Hammer am See , † July 17, 1985 in Vienna ) was an Austrian magician and illusionist .

Life

Fritz Lisetti had his first contact with magicians when he was a child in his father's hotel. At the age of 20 he set up his own magic program and had his first appearances in Düsseldorf and Vienna. On a train ride to Budapest he met Miss Lisa, hence his stage name "Lisetti" is derived. Miss Lisa became his assistant and wife. Lisetti was not a man on the big stages, he preferred the intimate setting of smaller bars. One of his most famous students is the Austrian magician Tony Rei .

In 1973 Lisetti co-founded the Austrian Ring 240 of the International Brotherhood of Magicians (IBM). He was a member of the Association for Magical Art Vienna (VMKW) and honorary member of the Magical Club Vienna . In 1978 he was the first to be awarded the “Golden Merit of Magic” at the “Ball of Magicians” in Vienna.

After his death he was given an honorary grave in the Protestant cemetery in Simmering .
