Moonpool
Moonpool is the international name for a lower opening in the ship's hull .
A moon pool enables divers , remotely operated vehicles and other underwater equipment to be used without being affected by wind and swell . It is mainly set up on drilling platforms , drilling ships , research vessels , diving vessels and multi-purpose vessels .
