The family name Morgentaler originated in the community of Ashkenazi Jews ( Ashkenazim ).

distribution

Until World War II in Poland, especially in Łódź . The central database for Holocaust victims shows that numerous victims with the last name Morgentaler and Jewish first names were among the victims of the Holocaust. Few Polish Morgentaler survived and emigrated to Canada.
