Moritz of Montreal
Moritz von Montreal ( French : Maurice de Montréal ; † after 1153, before 1161) was Lord of Oultrejordain from around 1148 until his death .
After the death of his uncle Pagan the cupbearer , Herr von Oultrejordain , Moritz succeeded him. As Lord of Oultrejordain, he resided in Montreal Castle .
In 1153 he took as a vassal of King Baldwin III. of Jerusalem participated in the siege of Ascalon .
When he died, the rulership reverted to the Crown Domain. 1161 gave Baldwin III. the rule of Oultrejordain as a fief to Philip of Milly , who returned his rule Nablus to the king in exchange . It is possible that Philip's first wife Isabella is a daughter of Moritz.
