As Most Frequently Used ( English for most commonly used , often abbreviated as MCA ) is referred to a list which programs or files stored on the frequency of calls. The list is displayed to the user in descending order. The elements of the list that have been viewed more often are shown higher up and elements that have been viewed less often are shown below. This is to make it easier for the user to find and open frequently used programs or files.

The MFU is an extension that was implemented for the first time with Microsoft Windows XP . It can usually be found via the start menu .
