From 1949, the Swiss company Mowag delivered 214 pieces of the PTT's Mowag local service vehicle .

The vehicles had right-hand drive and space for a passenger. From the driver's cab one got into the cargo hold, which could be left on both sides by sliding doors.

The vehicle was designed to be extremely maintenance-friendly, so that PTT's own vehicle maintenance company could change the engine and gearbox within 3 hours with little effort: The body was guided with conical pins and fastened with only four screws, so that it can be quickly lifted with the help of hoisting eyes could be dismantled.
