Mr. Twister in Elitch Gardens ( Denver , Colorado , USA ) was a wooden roller coaster manufactured by Philadelphia Toboggan Coasters with the serial number 132, which opened in 1965. On October 1, 1994, when the park was relocated, the track was closed, but remained in the park until the end of January 1999.

For the 1965 season, the railway was rebuilt and equipped with a higher and steeper first drop , a double helix , more extreme curves and a hidden tunnel. Then the 921 m long route reached a height of 29 m. The new first drop was 24 m high and had a gradient of 45 °. The trains reached a top speed of 81 km / h.

Trains

Mr. Twister owned two trains with five cars each. Four people (two rows of two people) could sit in each car.

Successor line

At the new location of Elitch Gardens, a railway modeled on the original was created with Twister II .
