Mru is a Tibeto-Burmese language that is recognized as the sole language in Bangladesh .

The Mru language is spoken by the Mru community who inhabit the hills of Chittagong and parts of Burma . In the district of Bandarban the Mru represent the second largest group. Another, somewhat smaller group of the Mru lives in the district of Rangamati .

The Mru language is counted among the dying languages by UNESCO . It is one of the Tibeto-Burmese languages and has some connections to Burmese .
