Muldjewangk

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Muldjewangk is a legendary aquatic creature from the mythology of the Australian Aborigines , who is said to inhabit the Murray River and in particular Lake Alexandrina . It serves to deter Aboriginal children who want to play by the water after dawn. Usually it is described as an evil sea creature (half human, half fish) or as a Gargantuan , a monster . There are no clear statements as to whether there are several beings or a single Muldjewangk.
