Mumbai International Film Festival
Mumbai International Film Festival for Documentary , Short Film and Animated Film has been a biennial film festival in the Indian metropolis of Mumbai since 1990 . It is organized by the Films Division , a company of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting . In the international competition, prizes (Golden and Silver Conches ) totaling 2.7 million rupees in various categories are awarded by a jury. In addition, retrospectives are held on selected international and national documentary filmmakers.
The 10th festival took place from February 3rd to 9th, 2008 at the National Center for the Performing Arts in Mumbai.
