Mundir II. († 1038 ) was the third emir in the Taifa of Saragossa between 1036 and 1038 .

The dynasty of the Tudschibiden belonging Mundhir II., Arabic منذر معز الدولة, DMG Munḏir Mu'iz al-Dawla , full name in Arabic منذر بن يحي التجيبي معز الدولة, DMG Munḏir ibn Yaḥya at-Tuǧībī Mu'iz al-Dawla , was the son of Yahya al-Muzaffar . His mother was the sister of Ismail al-Zafir , the emir of the Taifa of Toledo . This marriage was politically motivated, as his father had sealed his alliance with the Taifa of the Middle Marches.

Mundir II ruled for only three years (from 1036 to 1038, corresponding to the years 428 to 430 in the Islamic calendar ) and so we have very few historical records about him. The sources from this period come mainly from the line of the conspirator Abd Allah ben Hakams , who was to follow Mundir II in 1038.

Already in 1035 the false caliph Hisham II had seized power in Seville , which, however, was not recognized by Mundir II, as was his predecessor.

There is much to suggest that Mundir II did not die of natural causes, but rather fell victim to an intrigue staged by the power-hungry Abd Allah ben Hakam in 1038. This triggered great unrest in the Zaragoza Taifa, which contributed to the loss of power of the Tujibids and led to the assumption of power by the Hudids under Sulaiman ben Hud al Musta'in , the governor of Lérida , in 1039 .
