Murayama Declaration

In the Murayama Declaration ( Japanese: 村 山 談話 , Murayama-danwa ) by the Japanese Prime Minister Murayama Tomiichi on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the end of the Second World War in East Asia , he apologized for war and colonial rule in neighboring Asian countries. This declaration is officially the attitude of the Japanese government to the war past to this day.
