Museo Diocesano (Catania)
The Museo Diocesano (Diocesan Museum) is a museum in Catania .
It has been located in the Seminario dei Chierici ( seminary ) on the south side of the Piazza del Duomo , which was built in the 18th century. It has a massive facade that is framed by pilaster strips and provided with closely spaced corbels . It has decorated windows and portals as well as balconies with figured consoles.
You can also visit the Terme Achilliane , a thermal bath from Roman times, which extends under the museum, the cathedral and the neighboring Palazzo Senatorio .
