Museu da Imagem e do Som de Alagoas

The Museu da Imagem e Som de Alagoas (MISA; German Museum for Visual and Auditive ) is a museum in the Brazilian city of Maceió (state of Alagoas ).

The State Media Museum was founded on September 3, 1981. The collection is dedicated to conveying information about important political, social and artistic events in the state of Alagoas. The holdings also include parts of the cultural memory of the city of Maceió, which is documented in photographs, cassettes and video tapes as well as old records. There are also numerous donated objects such as radios and cameras.

The museum is located in the Jaraguá district , in the Praça Dois Leões 275 building , which was designed in the Brazilian neoclassical style by Carlos Mornay and built in 1869. Immediately opposite is the Praça Dois Leões park , and to the south is the historic quarter at the fishing port.

Fernando Antônio Netto Lobo (* 1948) has been the director since May 2011.
