House of Signatories Vilnius

The Museum of Signatories of Lithuanian Independence in Vilnius Old Town in Lithuania is a branch of the National Museum of Lithuania . It was in this building that the Act of Restoration of the Independent Lithuanian State was signed on February 16, 1918 .

A memorial has been set up in the museum . Here you can visit the gallery created by Rimgaudas Zebenka with portraits of all signatories. The Thonet style furniture is owned by the Povilas Karazija family .

Some of the exhibition halls of the House of Signatories are also dedicated to the Declaration on the Reconstruction of the Independent Lithuanian State of March 11, 1990 and show documents of the prehistory and the consolidation of the regained statehood. The museum presents numerous temporary exhibitions.
