The Museum Somme 1916 ( French Musée Somme 1916 ) is a military museum in the northern French city of Albert on military life on the front lines during the First World War in the area of ​​the Battle of the Somme . Albert was repeatedly run over by the front and extensively destroyed.

The museum was established in 1992 in a tunnel 230 meters long and 10 meters deep, which served as an air raid shelter during World War II. Its entrance is next to the Notre-Dame de Brebières basilica . With the help of lighting, images and background noise, the exhibition gives an authentic impression of everyday life in the trenches . In addition to the 15 designed niches, various documents such as personal memorabilia and other items such as contemporary weapons are presented in 18 showcases.
