The Museumplein ( German  Museum Square ) is a square in Amsterdam .

The square is named after the museums around it: Stedelijk Museum , Van Gogh Museum , Diamond Museum in Amsterdam and Rijksmuseum . The course was redesigned in 1999 by the landscape architect Sven-Ingvar Andersson . There is an underground car park and a supermarket below the square. In winter, the square's fountain is converted into an ice rink.

To the east of the square is the Vrouwen van Ravensbrück monument .
