action

The world of Mushihimesama is a wild world that can change quickly from desert areas to secluded forests. The world is inhabited by arthropods and other beetles, which in the game are called koujuu. These oversized insects can survive in the harsh environment thanks to their reinforced armor. However, through the miasm, they are toxic to humans. Only a small number of the previous people are allowed to survive by a pact. In the Hoshifuri village, a 15-year-old girl is sacrificed for this every 200 years. The daughter of the royal family Reco, is apparently the next to be sacrificed. On the day she turns 15, the village is contaminated by miasma. To save her she flies into the Shinjuku forest and rides the beetle Kiniro, which she controls through telepathic skills on an adventure to defeat Koujuu, the deity for whom the victim served.
