The Mutton Bird Islands ( English: Mutton Bird Island group) are an uninhabited group of islands in the Indian Ocean , located just under two kilometers off the southwest coast of the Australian island of Tasmania .

The group, which stretches about four kilometers as the crow flies from west to east, includes six small islands :
- Mutton Bird Island (main island)
- South East Mutton Bird Islet
- South West Mutton Bird Islet
- Sugarmouse Island
- Wendar Island
- Sugarloaf Rock
and several rugged rock formations, u. a.
The largest and most easterly island is Mutton Bird Island , from which the entire archipelago owes its name. In the far west are the rocks of the East Pyramids .
The islands are part of Tasmania's Southwest National Park .
