Myanmar Brewery Limited

The Myanmar Brewery Limited ( MBL ) is a brewery in Myanmar and is on a 13.6 hectares in Pyinmabin Industrial ComplexMingaladon Township , Yangon . Around 1,000 people are employed there.

The brewery's annual output is around 2.1 million hectoliters .

history

The Myanmar Brewery Limited was established on 29 March 1995 as part of a US $ 60 million comprehensive joint venture with the ThaiBev Ltd. In 2013 ThaiBev Ltd. their 55% stake in the investor Fraser and Neave Ltd. ( F&N ), while the remaining 45% continues to be held by Myanmar Economic Holdings Ltd. were held. On August 19, 2015, Kirin Beer acquired the 55% stake from F&N.

MBL's products make up 86% of all beer sales in Myanmar. Of this, the Myanmar standard beer alone accounts for 90%. The beers are offered in bottles and cans. The bottle content is 640 ml, the cans contain 330 ml.

The beer is exported to Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Bangladesh, China, Hong Kong, Japan, Australia and New Zealand, as well as the Russian Federation.
