1. Description of the monument: April 27, 1988

Year of construction: 19th century,

For reasons of historical importance for the history of the city of Erkelenz and its residents, the maintenance of the o. A. Architectural monument is of public interest for scientific, in particular architectural and local history reasons.

Both houses date from the 19th century. The house on Hauptstrasse 75 was used as a shop or as a residential building until recently. It is a four-axis, 2-storey brick building with a tooth frieze under the eaves. House No. 77 between the houses No. 75 and No. 79 that exist today was built with the abandonment of the cul-de-sac that was presumably in between. It is a three-axis, two-storey brick house, which was designed based on house no. For the thesis that the property at no.77 is the original path leading backwards, the old neighborhood pump is located behind house no.75.This cast-iron pump, made in a very beautiful ornamentation, has been preserved and still stands at its old point of view today.

Date of registration: April 27, 1988
