Myron Boyd
Myron Boyd ( 1909 - 1978 ) was an American Methodist preacher and co-founder of the National Religious Broadcasters .
Life
Boyd graduated from Seattle Pacific College in 1932. After ordination, he worked in various churches in Washington before becoming the pastor of the First Free Methodist Church in Seattle . Boyd used the radio to preach. He became the preacher on a regional Christian radio station called the Gospel Clinic . He then hosted the Light and Life Hour radio show broadcast from Winona Lake, Indiana. In 1944 he was a founding member of the National Religious Broadcasters , an association of evangelical media professionals. In 1947, Boyd gave up his job as a pastor to devote himself exclusively to his work on the radio. In 1976 he retired from Light and Life Hour and became bishop of the Free Methodist Church .
