Coercion (Switzerland)

The Swiss Penal Code provides in Article 181 that a compulsion to refrain in by force or threat as well as other restrictions that affect the future freedom of action of a person, how to do something or to tolerate, with up to three years in prison or a fine. If the facts for entering into a marriage or registering a partnership arise, the law provides for a prison sentence of up to 5 years or a fine under Article 181a . It is also punishable if the act was committed abroad but the perpetrator is in Switzerland and is not extradited.
