A standard size for tin figures is referred to as the Nürnberger Maß . It goes back to the manufacturer Ernst Heinrichsen , who founded a tin composition figure factory in Nuremberg in 1839 and, due to his mass production, established a standard height for tin figures of approx. 28–30 mm.
