The N5 is a trunk road in the Democratic Republic of the Congo that starts in Lubumbashi and ends in Bukavu . It is 1102 kilometers long.

The highway begins in Lubumbashi at the exit of the N1 and runs south towards Bukavu . In Kasomeno the branches N35 from which continues towards Mwense. The N34 branches off from the N5 in Kansimba . The N33 , which ends in Kabondo, branches off in Kalembie . This is a connection to the N1. Part of the N5 runs west along Lake Tanganyika .
