National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health

The National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health ( NIOSH ) is the US federal agency for occupational health research. It is part of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the current president is John Howard .

The NIOSH was founded together with its sister agency OSHA on December 29, 1970 by the Occupational Safety and Health Act .
