NK Nafta Lendava was a Slovenian football club from Lendava . The club last played in the Druga Slovenska Nogometna Liga .
history
The association, founded in 1903, is one of the oldest Slovenian associations. While belonging to Yugoslavia Nafta played in the first season of the 1st Yugoslav Football League 1946/47 as the only Slovenian club first class.
In the first division of Slovenia he played again between 1991 and 1993 and 2005 and 2012, after he was only in the third division in the 2003/04 season. After the 2011/12 season, however , the club rose from bottom of the table in the second division. The club's best placement was 6th in the 2009/10 season. Shortly after relegation, the club went bankrupt and was dissolved. The newly founded successor club, which was founded in August 2012 as ND Lendava 1903, initially only had youth teams. In 2017 the club, which now operates under the name NK Nafta 1903 , returned to the 2nd division .
