NREL - Golden, Colorado

The National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) is located in Golden, Colorado . It is from the United States Department of Energy ( United States Department of Energy funded). It is considered the most important laboratory in the USA for research and developments in the fields of renewable energy and energy efficiency . It was founded in 1974 and had a budget of $ 328 million in 2009. In January 2010 it had around 1,700 employees.
