Nabati poetry

The Nabati poetry , also known as folk poetry or Bedouin poetry, has been known since the 16th century and an integral part of Arab culture. It can only be found on the Arabian Peninsula. Many historical events are known today only because they were passed down through Nabati poetry in the Arabic language .

One of the most famous poets of Nabati poetry is Muhammad bin Raschid Al Maktum , the current ruler of Dubai.
